I am a planner. I live and die by the plan. So, I sat down in the first few days of 2016 and wrote out a plan. It was a beautiful plan. And it went out the window about 30 minutes into the first day.
The following post is written by my daughter, who loves to write. She's a lovely young lady who one day is going to take on the world. Not sure the world is ready for her. She is a feisty one, as is shown by what she decided to write about:
Hello!! My name is Anya and I am 11 years old. I am here to talk about what I believe in and what is important to me in my life. I majorly believe that nothing is impossible when you put your mind to it. When I was little I would think I can't do this, I can't do that. I would think that I couldn’t go horseback riding because I was a girl. That changed when I turned 8 years old. I was in school and my teacher put a video onto the promethean board. It was a video called Attitude is Altitude by Nick Vujicic.
I started to watch him at home and was amazed at everything he could do. He had no arms and no legs but he could swim, play soccer, and do all this amazing stuff without any limbs. I was so amazed. Since then I have told myself never give up, and nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it. I told my friends about Nick and they watched him on Youtube. They then changed and would say never give up. When I was 10 I was invited too my friend Jadan’s birthday party. It was at the mall and we were going ice- skating. I fell down so many times. I almost gave up but my friend reminded me about Nick. I got back up and I glided across the ice. It felt amazing. My message today of course is Never Give Up. If you keep trying you might end up loving it. xoxo -Anya
